Vanessa assisted Bhavan with several projects. For Vivesini, she developed the English dialogue and aided in casting, as well as acting as consultant with respect to marketing and distribution.

Fresh from a successful cinema run, VIVESINI transferred to streaming platforms in 2024.

Vanessa assisted several writer-director-producers in their early years.

Acting in various capacities on their filmsets — as co-producer, production assistant, casting director, acting coach, script supervisor — she played a vital role in their debut shorts and feature films.

The prolific James Crow, in particular, benefitted from Vanessa’s assistance. Especially in his debut short, Playtime, and his debut feature film, the ‘original’ A Suburban Fairytale.

Made on a no-budget basis, A Suburban Fairytale was used by James as a calling card to secure funds to produce a remake of the original movie on a low budget.

James is now known for his urban horrors and swift output of various projects; writing and directing has become his fulltime career.
